I had the pleasure of directing six evenings that celebrated the sesquicentennial of The Cooper Union and its famous Great Hall.  Topics included Electoral Politics, Science & Technology, Arts & Literature, Radical Politics  and Abolitionism. The celebration culminated on the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s famous 1860 “Right Makes Might” speech that many believe won him the candidacy.  Performers in the series included Hon. Mario Cuomo, Salman Rushdie, Tony Kushner, Olympia Dukakis, Kathleen Chalfant, Richard Dreyfuss, David Strathairn, Stephen Lang, Amy Goodman, Barbara Feldon, Richard Kind, Adam Gopnik, Dr. George Campbell, Nobel Prize winner Harold E. Varmus, Harold Holtzer and several Broadway personalities.
